Hi i was wondering if i could put a new mobo in a dell case? (will it fit) And would a amd modo work aswell?
roadkill
wont fit, it woudl take quite a bit of modding to make it fit

A micro ATX might...check the motherboard plate and see if it has diff holes, or what. I have an old compaq(that should be folding now that i think of it) that has its OEM mobo replaced with a micro atx. I highly doubt a standard full size would fit, but a micro atx probably will.

Yeah...it's some crazy form factor.

most pc makers use proprietary formats so that u have to go back to them to upgrade, most people don't know that they do that on purpose.

Yea, Dell is purely Proprietary. You'd need a new case to put the Motherboard in. Then you'd need a new power supply, because Dell's power supplies don't fit in ATX cases.

It really depends on the case from Dell, most of the cases will not fit the standard size mobo.

this is why we make our pc's laugh.gif
AMD64
what so you need a dell case to put your dell bits in as well
HoLoDreaM
the trouble you saved would be well worth buying a new case
