kewl now you can hope to electricute yourself! laugh.gif just kidding, those things pack a punch, burned the skin right off me finger once doing that, be careful, don't know if it fits though

how did it burn you? didnt you turn it off?
HoLoDreaM
just have ur comp turned off... press the power button several times, (while the power cable is unplugged from the back) and youll see ur lights or whatever anything u got flicker while it drains the juice...

and let it sit like that for awhile (overnight wouldnt hurt) and you should be ok.. just dont play doctor with the capacitors...

and im not 100% sure.. but arent PSU's kind of a universal size? (ATX standards?)

Nope, the screw holes should be universally placed, but some PSUs are longer than others, which would conflict with a new top.

I have no clue if that will fit, but do make sure it will before purchasing.

** Please Note: This mod will increase the ouside dimensions of your PSU 1/8 in height and 1/4 in width.  **

Basically if your PSU fits inside your case snugly/tight already, this mod wont allow the PSU to fit. If you are worried about shocking yourself, just wear some latex/rubber gloves.

btw, i cant stress this enough.... BE CAREFUL....you touch something wrong and depending on your psu, you might wind up in the floor with a numb arm and a burnt finger.
i had it happen once, i touched it wrong and my arm went flying back and it pulled me to the ground, my arm was numb for an hour, plus the tip of my finger smelled like burnt steak. be careful dude.

JUst do the paper clip thing, and power it on with a fan plugged to a 4 pin molex, then unplug it from the wall outlet or the ps box your fan will turn for half a second after the unplug draining the caps dry, you'll be able to stick your finger anywhere after that, i swear on anything you want you will not get electrocuted, i fiddle in psu's all the time and that's what i always do wink.gif

Btw do you guys unplug the dang thing before you unscrew the top loll laugh.gif laugh.gif

actually no I've left it on, power my comp while doing work on it before no prob, caps are never fully discharged without a professional discharger, and it was unplugged when I did that
