...is it really worth it? It's a pci card...it doesn't have any shader support at all. You can go ahead and do it if you want, but it really isn't worth it. Imagine...even if you get a full 100% increase in performance, what will that get you? Crappy non-shaded graphics at twice the framerate. Take the time and money you'd expend doing this, and put it towards a new card.

lmao, i was being serious, i really DIDNT mean it to be rude, because I'm pretty sure that not many people here really know about voltmodding a really old PCI card. And about being moody: the only posts that have really been snappy were that thread abotu some guy trying to rip us off and the fridge thread, which was based off of several other members remarks about my statement, which took some time to explain.

Well, if you can find any mods I would say go for it. It's obviously a card that you no longer care about

Excellent to practice on

Maybe it's MY time of the month, b/c all I can think of to say is, "Dude!! That's like running Premium Hi-Test in a Yugo!!"
If you get even two extra FPS out of it, it would be a miracle of the highest order.

it might be a more useful experience to lap the heatsink, or replace the heatsink with a CPU heatsink, maybe add some lapped ramsinks, vmod the card... all the kinda stuff you'd do on a decent card... like markie says... valuable practise for a number of modding skills... you'll probably just trash it by trying to LN2 it...

if you can afford to screw it up, go for it by all means
