I'm having fun with my lvl 20 warrior. What get's me is some of the people. I'm trying to up my enchanting skills, so I'll enchant armor I find and then give it away. Some people think it's a trick and won't take some really nice stuff I'm trying to give them. They even get rude. I would take any nice armor someone gave me.

Your warrior is an enchanter?????

Wow.... I wouldn't believe that one either.

95% of the warriors I know are either Mining, Blacksmith, Armorsmith, Weaponsmith, Axesmith, hammersmith, swordsmith, or an engineer.
Enchanting is a pretty painful and costly skill to take up. :/ My 20-something mage is in the low 100 skill area, and that's with all the stuff my warrior keeps feeding him to disenchant.

I deleted my human mage (level 29) and started an Undead Mage (lvl 17 so far). I did it to play with my RL friends, but let me tell you, the racial abilities of the undeads OWN any alliance ones. Immunity to fear + increase underwater time? Oh yeah!

I have enchanting on my Mage as well, though at level 30 it's already at the point where I need to go to Uldaman to the Artisan enchanting trainer now, which is ridiculous, as it's beyond a hassle to get her to appear and even worse to have to go there to learn new stuff again as I don't have enough gold or skill to max it right away.

I also took 1st aid, which made sense since I don't have healing spells.
How do you quit a guild?

I took up blacksmithing just for the purpose of making wpns. my rogue is at 39 and i have about 25g saved up. whoever said the money starts rolling in at 38-40 was on crack because ive been saving for about a week and thats all i have. at this rate ill get my mount at level 45
anyway
I dropped LW at 200 and skinning at about 289
I hope BS bring in some good money.

From what ive read at the WoW forums, good money is had with using harvesting skills and just selling raw matterials. Have not tried that personally. I took all the seconday skills along with leather, seemed to make sense for a Tauren Shammy. Currently lvl 16.
Don't get to play as much as id like.
Oh well maybe next year ill get to lvl 20
d3bruts1d
Apr 4 2005, 03:40 AM
Yes, harvesting is a great way to make money.. but so is camping Scarlet Monetary when you get to be 55+ and can solo all 4 instances.

Any profession, smithing, tailoring, enchanting, whatever will take a hell of a lot of money to get your skill up, where as gathering cost almost nothing.
As far as professions, mine are:
Warrior (58) - Mining, Blacksmith, Weaponsmith, and soon to be swordsmith.
Mage (27) - Tailoring and enchanting.
Druid (11) - Herbilism and alchemy.
Rogue (7) - Skinning and leatherworking. Will also have poisoning and lockpicking.
Pally (7) - Mining and engineering.
Warlock (12) - Herbalism and skinning
Priest (7) - Herbalism and skinning
In addition, all characters also have fishing, cooking, and first aid at various levels. All three are allowed in addition to your choice of
2 professions. I'd suggest that you all take up these skills on all of your characters.
From my configuration above, the priest and warlock will be able to sell and/or support my rogue and druid as I need them. The pally will be able to support himself or get help from my high level warrior.
The best part about it, is my warrior can sit on a gold mine and then funnel cash down to help the other characters.

On a single SM run, I'll come across 20-30 blue or green BoE items that I can send to my enchanter to disenchant.

A warrior that knows what they are doing should be extremely hard to fear, especially at the higher levels. We get two skills that make us immune to fear, and will break fear should someone cast it on us.... sheep, well, that's another story.

Also, with a Warrior's pummel we can interrupt and prevent spell casting usually long enough to kill any caster. Charge and Intercept are also a nice little trick, as they'll stun the caster for a few sec.
Usually when fighting a priest, I'll prevent them from casting a shadow spell with pummel... after that, the priest usually tries to run away and heal. If you stay on them hard enough, they'll use all of their mana trying to run.

Though... this only holds true if the warrior is in zerker stance... any other stance and the warrior is gimp.

Sorry to interrupt your discussion guys,. but I just wanted to know if there was something I was missing in regards to paying a recurring fee to play a game. Games like 10Six, The Matrix Online, and WoW turn me away because I just don't think you need to keep paying for a game over and over. Xbox Live is another example... Basically I just wanna know from the opinions of those who are already into it, how do you feel it's worth the recurring charges? Hell, I might be interested if your argument makes sense

Till then, see you in Kal
d3bruts1d
Apr 8 2005, 05:00 AM
I don't mind the fees. I have two accounts. One for myself, and one for Celtica. I paid both accounts in a 6-month lump sum. It's less noticeable (and cheaper) than paying every month.

The money is well used in backing up your character's and other stuff. We've (at least I have on my server) seen a ton of improvement on the servers since the game went live. It's still not perfect, but a lot better than it was on day 1.
Since the game has gone live, they've added more quests, more skills, more dungeons, and more items. The PVP Honor System and Battlegrounds will be coming out soon which will add even more to the game.
Things like that make the fees worthwhile to me.

I have a level 30 rogue on shadow moon and i love it. I am broke as heck in the game and i am not sure how to get more cash. I have about 10 gold to my name and i am behind in my new skills. How should i be making cash? I have my skinning skills almost to 250 and my leatherworking almost to 160. Should i stop making leather stuff and sell my skins or what? I need cash and i need a way to make it.

Do you guys think you should be allowed to heal during a duel.
I kinda have mixed thoughts about it. (talkin about paladins / using pots)
On the plus side: A duel is supposed to simulate a real life PVP battle in which healing cannont be considered a bad thing
On the flip side: healing yourself doesnt really prove how good you are at dealing damage / killing the opponent
I donno. Any thoughts?

Well, Warlocks and Hunters get a big nerf in the next patch ( My Girlfriend has been messing around on the test realm. ) and the new epic mounts are pretty awesome, though some are a bit uglier than the current ones.
The Night Elf Sabers get much worse at level 60 now, as do the Warlock "Nightmares"

I need to hop on the test realm and see what the new mounts look like.. though, I'm not sure if I want to try and get an epic mount or one of the new mounts coming with the honor system rewards.

I've also added some more WoW Screen shots

Felwood is pretty miserable ..but anyway..about the useing pots in dueling..as a rogue i think it should be allowed..i mean as a leather wearer going up against a warrior sometimes a little boost is all i need to win.
And about the priests/casters owning rogues..not always true..first of all it depends on the players...when you have the ability to use evasion, vanish, sneak back up on them, poison them so they cant cast, cheap shot etc....how can you lose? :-)
Agallion
Apr 12 2005, 10:28 AM
true, it also depends on the situation, like if i KNOW theres a rouge around ill stay in bear form and if he attacks ill win (roots for teh w1n! lol) however if i my druid gets nailed in caster form or cat form..im generally screwd

I owned a higher level rogue with my mage the other day... he stuck up behind me and sapped me. I blinked out of the sap, hit him with frost to slow him down and then froze him in place... after that it was arcane to death.

I didn't even have to pull out the sheep spell, which I would have as a desperation move.
Had he used a poison on me, I'd have been screwed.

Darn nub rogues.

It just all goes back to the player and how they are specked out.
I got my first run in Scholomance last night... it's an ok place. A lot of caster and rogue stuff dropped though. :/ I still like Dire Maul, BRS, and Strathome better. If I had to pick my favorite so far it would be Strat.
I think Caer Darrow in Eastern Plaguelands is the most miserable place, though there are a lot of close contenders in WoW.

I like my lvl 26 NElf druid. All my talent points are in restoration. So I like to sit back in groups and keep everyone healed and buffed. When i run out of mana i drink some mana pots. I have plenty of them because my profession is herbalism/alchemy.
I do well in soloing too. Entangling roots/ moonfire/starfire/fairiefire/ then catform and melee if needed. Or, just cat form and sneek up behind them and shred, rip, claw, ect.
I dont use bear form too much anymore. I use water form when i need to travel fast and there is water near by.
I cant wait until lvl 30 when i get my travel form. I think its 50% faster than running. That will hold me up until i get my mount at lvl 40, which is 60% faster than walking.
Yea, pets are pretty useless( not hunter or warlock pets). I bought a hawk owl, its just for looks. It would be nice if i could have more than one pet following me at a time, like a mechanical squirrell and a hawk owl and somthing else.. It would look like i am one with nature and animals follow me around.

I'm inches away from 60, and I don't seen anything to stop me from playing.

Not even my PSP can tear me away from WoW.

Though it does come in handy while your sitting there waiting for a group/raid to fill up, or on those long flights between Darkshore and Feathermoon.

As far as an instance to do in the 40-ish area... I
think that Scarlet Monastery is right in that range.
Maybe RFD also. To be honest, it's been a while since I've been there, and don’t remember. I'll look into it some more when I get home from work.
If nothing else, you could always check the AH for armor, or have a leatherworker make you some.

Also, any of the "gathering" resources are nice for making money. Skinning, Herbilism, or mining. Some of the higher end ore for mining sells for 4-5 gold on our server, and there is never enough in the AH.

On a side note, I hit 300 Blacksmithing/Weaponsmithing skill last night.

Now it'll be easier to save $$.

I'm glad I didn't switch servers. I gave it a bit of thought at first, but really didn't want to move from a East Coast server to a West Coast one. Well, that and most of the people that I know in game stayed on Bleeding Hollow, so it's all good.

For the first time ever, I had a moment where my main character (Hyglak - 60 Human Warrior) had over 100 gold. I sold a lightforge belt in the AH for about 95 gold. $-)
I'm down to about 60 gold now after training, repairing (darn 4 gold repairs), buying a few smith plans, and distributing some of the gold out to alternate characters.
I saw a Warrior / Pally book in the AH (Foror's something of dragon slaying) for over 1000g. Apparently it drops in Dire Maul, so I'm going to hit that instance this week and see if I can find it. Need to go there anyway since I have the
Codex of Defense quest to turn in.
The game has gotten more fun at 60. Cannot wait till Battlegrounds come out.

Wow, the patch is out already? They've really started stepping things up. Hopefully this one wont take as long as before to download / update.

Though you can get it faster from Fileplanet or XFire than you can directly from Blizzard.

Most gold I've had at one time was 270. I decided around that point I really didn't feel like wasting so much more time raising the rest of the 900 for an epic mount. I then went and blew most of it; I remember most of it I spent on all the bank slots and 16 slot bags.
My druid alt on Shadow Moon is now level 20. I'll be playing there with real life friends. The character's name is Yevalos.
