Ive noticed when I turn on prime95 I can barely hear my fans slow a tad (yes they are loud smile.gif ) and no they arent plugged into the motherboard. Is this a bad sign or normal?
MBM says 11.8 on 12v rail and 1.54 on Vcore (suposed to be 1.575) at full load.
This is normal right?

Use a digital multimeter to measure your voltages. Onboard voltage sensors vary too much in quality to be considered accurate at all.

It seems very likely I would end up with smoke in my room.

Not really, as long as you use common sense multimeters are really easy to work with.
