okay, so my antec truepower 430 is going to a new, less demanding home. i think it was a little under powered for my setup. the 12V runs at 20A max. i suspect that is a little low for my rig.
btw, little sidenote, i just got back from compusa and noticed that the new antec truepower 430 runs 26A on the 12V rail. i guess even they thought it was under powered for todays computers.
so, back on topic, here are some of my finalists:

any suggestions would be really appreciated.
thanks.

edit: sorry about the title, talk about a major typo! LOL i think i meant "picking"

Honestly your Antec 430watt True Power should be able to handle your system. Just check the voltages with a digital multimeter. If you are dead-set on getting a new PSU I would go with the XClio or the Neopower. They are both manufactured by Channel Well Technology. Only difference between the two is the modular cables. The enermax PSU's are nice, but a tiny bit overpriced IMO for what you get.

i thoght it would too, but i think the 20A 12V rail is a bit suspect. i have gone through 3 neo2's since xmas. seems to be the general concensus that it is either a power problem or maybe a virus. the symptoms are always the same, things are fine then go to power up and nothing. just like the bios is gone. fans power up, hard drives spin, but no post, no boot.
as far as the power goes, if antec themselves have decided to up the 12V amps, then maybe that is saying something about this psu.
i think the modular cables may be worth it just for the wire management. besides, i'll be going back to dfi mobo's as soon as i can get this rig up enough to sell. i think going to a 24pin, 12V 2.0 psu is in my future anyway, i might as well do it now. so, it looks like that neopower is headin my way.
thanks for the reply.

The 520 only has 33A on a single 12v rail while the NeoPower has 18+15 on two seperate rails.

TCO for the NeoPower is 487 while the OCZ is at 503. $14 less for something less (the Modstream) and no dual rails and 17w off its marker vs 7 over its marker is not worth it.

EDIT: I forget how to calculate TCO... grrr.. but I can say that the Antec's are better PSU's.

I'm pretty sure that having dual rails was no big advantage really from what I read...if you're looking to stay in a more reasonable budget than $500 for a PSU, I'd look at Fortran. They make great PSU's and a good 520 watter I believe is like $80 from newegg.

If you are looking for Fortran, look for SPI (Sparkle) as well. One and the same company.
