It's just a generic power supply that came with a case that I bought, and after testing with a multimeter I see that my rails are dipping dangerously low. Anyone recommend a good psu for someone on a budget?

Oh I should note that I have a good many devices plugged in including my powerhogging video card.

What is your budget? Most good PSU's that I would recommend are in the $60-80 range.

Budget is probably closer to the $60 range. I am not sure how many watts my system uses, but I need at least a 400 for my video card per manufacturers instructions. I would like to be safe and have more than I need just in case I decide to put more devices in there (ie: cold cathodes, more fans mmmmm cooling!)

Thanks for the fast response!

Here are some PSU's right around the $60 mark as you have indicated for your budget. Some maybe a little over, but those extra few dollars can make a difference.

Fortron 400watt PSU
Fortron typically is conservative when rating their PSU's. Typically they rate their PSU's at 40C, not the industry standard 25C bullcrap.

PCMCIS 500watt PSU
This is a rebadged Topower P6 (makers of the OCZ Power/modstreams) It has a native 24-pin connector for future compatibility. I would recommend this one for the money.

XClio PSU's (various)
These are the exact same thing as a Antec NeoPower minus the modular cables. Proof can be found here. The ones in your budget range are out of stock right now.

Thanks alot for the reply. I will have to see if the wife will let me order a new one soon. This one I have is starting to give me stability issues. Going downhill fast.
