Being the newb that I am at case modding, I was hoping to get some advice on modding a Aegis Desktop Tower Case It's a Gateway system, and I was wishing to upgrade and/or install a new power supply, rounded IDE cables, GPU heatsinks/fan, and one more additional case fan; one that is quiet, powerful, and reliable.

Any products, tips or advice you can offer me would greatly be appreciated.

Current Spec's are:

2.4ghz Pentium 4
1024gb RDRAM (256x4) 800mhz
128mb nVidia GeForce4 Ti 4600
Sound Blaster Audigy 1394
WD 80gb HD (x2)
CD-ROM and CD burner
Windows XP Home

Thanks again =)

bieng new and full of ideas myself i would say first off, put a fan, casebadge, hole, p00psmeer, or whatever you can do to cover up that gateway logo!
aS f0r rounded cables and stuff I think all those guides can be found here or have a link here.

you know what i would do? I would get a brand new case and go from there, one that will allow you to upgrade of do what ever you wish, and if you screw it up than disregard it and put it back in the gateway case.... but if not and it looks pimp then move your stuff over and have a good time with somthing you made yourself

I agree...get a mid size tower it will be easer to work on..and be alot more custom. Plus you still have your gate way case for if you ever want to sell it...its eiser to sell somthin like that in a pretty gate way case then in a "custom built" modded type case...

I like their ideas better, the bottom of the line generic case would be more fun and stress free to mod. Not that I would get bottom of the line.

the chieftec dragon case (same used by alienware) sounds like it would be a nice case for your equiptment
