I need a new case. The one I have right now is gawdy and I have no scheme to it and my wiring is horrible. Just wanted your guys oppininions on this Arctic Cooling Silentium T2. If I take the special "hardrive silencer" off I should have no problem hiding wires and even though that psu may not be the best but it's better then what I have now and it will hold me off till can save another 100$ for a silverstone 520w. Also the cooling seems like it would actually work well.

i cant really tell from the pictures but it looks like a propritary psu they have in there. if it is then your gonna do some cutting to get a new one in there.

It does appear that the psu is atleast semi attached to the case but I don't care will just give me another project and I never have anything to do in winter. Also here is a great Reviewon it
Seth_Man
it looks cool anyway
ICON57
not a bad looking case at all. smile.gif

That was a very comprehensive review. If you don't think you'll be happy with the PSU, then I would think twice about getting that case:
From SilentPC Review:
QUOTE
NOTE: The PSU is substantially wider than the ATX standard (as wide as the case), and the distance between the fans and exhaust is shorter. This had to be done to accommodate the dual 80mm fans. It allows for a very open airflow path through the PSU especially with the bottom grill for the PSU exhaust being so unrestricted.

QUOTE
We contemplated removing the PSU to either swap the fans or slow them down with extra resistance or diodes in the voltage feed to them, but decided against it. It's something only a small portion of even the hardcore SPCR audience would undertake. The power supply is really quite integrated into the case, and not designed to be removed. So most users will be stuck with the stock fans in the PSU as they are

And if the power supply fails, you get stuck shipping the whole case back for RMA, @ $35 or so, rather than just the dang PSU...

Aren't we modding to AVOID this sort of OEM crap?

There are better cases to be had, young man. Those two 80mm fans will give about the same amount of airflow as a 120mm intake/80mm blower setup run with positive case pressure, like I use with my Antec 480w Truepower...

Good luck, though...

130.00 is a bit pricey for a steel case. I would go with aluminum.
r_target
It looks like an espresso machine.
ccokeman
It has an interesting look to it.
