i am looking for a good psu (building somebody a system) and i need ideas. This guy needs a warranty. I was looking at the antec 550w truecontrol, but because this guy wants the warranty, we do not want him messing around. Is the antec 480w tru blue any good? what about the ultra x-connect? the system will have an fx-53, 6800 ultra (sli in the future), 1 gb xms memory, and 1 ide drive, and 2 optical drives.

I really like the x-connects's not sure how reliable they are but Im going to buy one pretty soon. Why did nobody think of that idea before?

the OCZs come with a 3 year warranty, mine is great, best one i have ever used

the x-connects are not reliable at all, from what i've read they've blown up in several high strain reviews. and for that system i would recommend the pc power and cooling 510 sli it comes with a 5 year warranty and will be ready for sli, and have enough juice to power that system

and then maximum pc did a review in there magazine where one blew up.

not sure what you wanted a link to so i gave links to where to get a pcp&c and where the x-connect died and the one was just published in the mag.

your gonna spend 200+ dollars on a PC power and cooling PSU, OCZ is the way to go, i know the pc power and coolig is better but $200+ is nuts to me.

I have the AnteC TrueBlue 480W

Great PSU!

Only complaint I hav is the Cables are not all braided, and come out the wrong side sad.gif
