I got bored and decided to hookup a Antec SmartPower SL350 (not to be confused with the higher-end TruePower series) and it works. Here are the system specs:

DFI nForce4 Ultra-D mobo modded to a SLI chipset
Athlon 64 3000+ Winchester CPU oc'ed to 256X9, 1.425 vCore
EVGA 6600gt oc'ed to 582/610
1gb (2X512mb) PDP TCCD (non-XBL version) @ 2.6v
Two Seagate NCQ SATA HD's in RAID 0
2 optical drives, floppy

Not an entirely huge load in terms of power, but I am suprised that this "lil" 350watt PSU could power it with no problems. To load the system up, I ran both Prime 95 and 3DMark 05 (in a continuous loop) at the same time for a few hours before I took voltage measurements with my digital multimeter. The 3.3v line was at 3.317, 5v line ranged from 5.08-5.10, and the 12v line ranged from 12.02 to 12.08 . Pretty impressive if you ask me.

Also the regular 20-pin ATX connector on the PSU worked absolutely fine on the 24-pin slot on the mobo.

Yea the 24 pin is suppose to be backwards compatable with teh 20 pin plug, jsut dont put teh other 4 pins covered ( it shoudl be keyed to prevent this) because you will fry somethign.

humm my 350w Antec only does 11.9v stable...but it's rock solid at that... (running the 478 3.0c, not to be confised with the 477 3.0c laugh.gif)

Now...if only it could hold my main rig at that...

btw main rig runs 12.16v idle to 12.20v load

obviously just the 12v readings, but that'll do i suppose....
