alright if u look in my sig at my case you will get an understanding of it.. the whole side is mesh.. i work at Ace Hardware and can cut myself some plexiglass if i want... the mesh seems like it is just being held by a nut and bolt.. i can just measure the plexiglass that i want... and attach it to the side, and VIOLA... plexi side cover...... would yall recommend the mesh or plexi?

next.. i want to replace my front 80mm and back 80mm with some 120mm's... they both can fit up to a 120 which is perfect....

also, im gonna be getting a dual blue cold cathode in the mail soon.... i dont my case being a huge light source where theres sooo much light u cant stand it... im gonna have a blue led front and back 120mm fan.. with 2 cold cathodes and a lit up PSU.... is this gonna be too much light? if so, what would be some good color combinations to go with to make a real unique, mean look?

when i replace those 120's im gonna have 2 spare 80's... that means i can put one of them on that plexi and blow it in towards the CPU... thats another blue light that i would have.... now.. what to do with my other fan?

ive got this wierd fan slot on the front right side of my case under the HD"s and cd-rom bays..... i could put an 80mm there.. but.. would i have it blowing in, or out... seeing how theres no real ventilation for it.. it seems unlogical to even put it there without modding my case... but if u look at my pics.. the sides of my case has this little spikey design that has a double layer of mesh.. well on the right side of my case.. it has that.. but it cant breathe kuz the bottom layer is metal, not mesh like my front side.. could i just like dremel that out or something and have a fan in there?

now.. if i blew it going in.. it would just blow right thru my case and thru the mesh on my left side.. but the only ventilation it would be getting would be from the front mesh on the case.. which is occupied by the front fan...

dont go with flashy led's

that case would look good with UV

well im getting blue cathodes... what do you recommend for the fans and plexiglass?
airman
that's a pretty lookin case. lots of places to get started biggrin.gif

if you look at my latest mod here. i don't have any front nor back fans. i have 2 side intakes, and one 120mm exhaust on top.

good luck with that biggrin.gif

i still at least want the blue fan up front...

anyone have suggestions for the plexi or the fans at all?
TheMdude
ok, here's my recommendation. do the two cathodes and the front fan lit up. use a regular fan for the back and a regular psu. i wouldn't even worry about that other side fan. Your front 120mm should more than take care of that area, and that'll just be more noise.

As for the plexi, I would replace all that mesh w/ plexi and frost the parts behind the silver swooshy things. u could maybe do some sort of design on the other part too if u wanted.

Good luck with the mod, looks like u've got a good case to start w/.

my PSU is lit up all the time anyway...

when i get the cathodes in im gonna see how it looks with this mesh, and cut the plexi anyways... so i can test them both out im gonna see how i like it....

what do u mean by frosting the silver "swooshy things" like a frosty paint or whatever? i do think that extra fan in the front would be extra noise too...

but the HD cage in front of my fan is kinda restricting airflow.. all x-blade case owners have this problem too.. i gotta mod the cage to where theres more flow.. either like cut it out or widen the holes.. i dunno...

EDIT:

i just had a huge crave to add some plexi to the top of my case.... what do you guys use to cut your metal cases with to make squares or whatever for the plexi? dremel right? what kinda attachment do u put on the dremel? (in case you forgot i work at Ace Hardware and can get full access to a lot of this stuff)
