ive got an 80mm in the front of my case... but right in front of the fan inside the case is the HDD frame housing.. i have the HD sitting up higher so air can breathe thru.. the housing has some holes in it.. it comes thru.. but not enough to make a big difference....

i just bought an 80mm stove fan for the back of my case... it has a 80mm,92,and 120mm adapter on both fan holes.... both of my fans are blue LED..

this is the wierd part... in the front right of my case... (right side of case, near the front).. like below the cd-roms n such.. theres a fan hole with screwholes etc.. just like the others... but theres no real ventilation that it can take besides the front grill.. which the front fan takes... would a fan there be any use at all? ill get a pic of this stuff soon...

i want more air... AND blue lighting... i wanna get some 120mm's.. but look at my case.. the side is a metal mesh.. VERY BREATHABLE.... (the right side of my case is solid metal, so its not mesh like the left side)

WHAT WOULD YOU RECOMMEND? i want more air, and blue lights, and low noise if possible

two 80's in front intake, two in side intake, one in back exhaust, one 120mm in top exhaust, other various exhaust fans like psu and such

upgrading to an XP-120 with sunon 108cfm 120mm fan as soon as it gets here...........

keeps this beast of a system pretty cool

Well, with the side being open like it is with the metal mesh, It takes away control from the airflow. If possible, gravy's layout he gave you was really good. Try and plan and see where the air would go. Top should be exhaust as heat rises and you don't want any dead spots. Try and plan it so you have constant airflow over the CPU and GPU as any air that gets stuck there will heat up everything. 120mm will keep your computer quiet and not sacrifice airflow, so a 120mm would be good for the back. Unless you have a fan controller or you're deaf, DO NOT buy Tornado's. I bought them thinking everyone just had sensitive ears but boy are those things loud. Nice wire management and good luck. foldon.gif

i dont really have room for 2 80's.. its got 1 port for it.. and they can fit an 80, 92, and 120

Well i hope you want to do a little hacking lol
first for noise if you take out those stamped metal grills, you'll reduce the noise to half, same 120mm fans with lights lol.
as for your drive cage sitting sideways and blocking air flow,(rather a good idea those cages, easy access but stupid one when it comes to air flow. Those ingeneers tsk tsk dry.gif )
Anyways, you could cut bigger air holes in without disturbing the drives holes that you need to stick them in, or just cut the entire side out(a big square ) and add 4 strips of metal riveted to the bottom and top drill holes in there for the drive holes and you're set. (man! i'd do that for free if you were in my neighborhood lol)
I know big project, but it will work smile.gif

Better yet, use this in the big square you're going to make

for every fan in my case, i either cut out the pre-fab grill material, or actually cut out the hole to put a fan where there never was one, including the 120mm in top

my case did not come with a hole in the top or holes in the side panel, i cut 'em out using a dremel
