Ok, now that the rest of my w/cing stuff is coming in tomorrow, I've been thinking of buying an LCD for my 5.25 bay since im going to be doing alot of modding this weekend: Repaint interior, install WC, modding case to fit w/cing stuff, sleeve PSU black, insane wire-management smile.gif, and finally, install my new AN35N-Ultra and Geil 512MB VS 3200 DC ram(All reviews said this stuff can hit 220 FSB or above). Now, i still got a buncha money, and im thinking of spending it on an LCD that can monitor temps, act as a fan controller (120mm fan controlling is a must), a hub possibly, looks awesome, and of course, is CHEAP. I was thinkig of a matrix orbital, but they are pricey and doesn't look like its an effective fan controller. So far, these are my choices:

Digi Doc 5+

Aerocool Gatewatch

Coolermaster AeroGate II

These are the only 3 so far that I've found that really appeal to me. Any suggestions? Any other products I should look at? BTW, my case is black wink.gif
My favorite of all the choices is the digi dock because it looks cool, can support up to 8 fans with up to 12w per channel, has the front USb and firewire and supports 8 sensors.

the gatemaster and the aerogates are really nice.

yeah, the gatewatch is really cool, but I fear that I may one day need a third 5.25 bay (already have 1 for CD-RW and another for res) laugh.gif

i have the gatewatch.. its p.i.m.p! hehe... pretty cool cos you can have a volume control on there... i'm gonna make a custom pci plate so that it'll control the sound of my SBLive smile.gif

the only bizarre thing is when you switch to one of the temp/fan channels, you have to press "set" three times to adjust the fan speed... three times lol... but pressing it once let's you set the time (hour) and a second time (minutes)... that's really really retarded imo... why the hell would i want to set the time all day long... i wish it didn't have a bloody clock...

the speed control is cool, you can go down to 1/2 speed (unless you have really low rpm fans)

hmm, another thing to concider...Have you tried it with a LED fan? Ill be powering 2 80mm LEd fans and 3 120mm LED fans......
Vasto
A fan controller will work with a fan with LEDs. Only thing is that the LEDs get dimmer as the fan slows down.

Did you look at the ThermalTake Hardcano units?
Hardcano 12
Hardcano 13

The DigiDoc might be a better unit than these though.
DarkScorpion
bleah, i never liked the Hardcano series. I think the digi-doc is my best bet. And vasto, i wanted something with an LCD wink.gif
