I am in need of a new PSU. I like the way the X-Connect looks but does it perform as well as a ModStream 520? I just bought a CM Centurion 5 that should be here sometime next week so I have no idea how the wire management is going to be. What do you think?

modstreams are much better powersupplies i would say that is one of the best psu's behind the PC Power and Cooling 510 watt, and the OCZ 600 watt modstream. The x connect is good but is not as good as the OCZ. BTW the Xconnect is made by powmax

Ewww! The only thing I do not like about the modstream is the way they sleeved all of the cables but I can fix that with a few hours worth of work.

It may be made by Powmax, (the X-Connect) but it is high end and solid. It is also continuous power, not switching, I love mine.

every power supply has its ups and downs *lol* but the x-connect is good not for the major oc'ing but for modding its awesome
for stability i wouldnt go with it if i was oc'ing lets say a fx-55 or something but ligh oc'ing and modding/looks x-connect is one of a kinda, well the neopower is the same i think :/ with the modular stuff

Yeah, the neopower has the connector as well. I would get it or the modsteam. The X-connect is OK if you don't plan to do much OCing. The Neopower and Modstream will really let you go to town with the OC, though.
I use a Neopower.
Had a salesman try to sell me a Powmax PSU today. HAHAHAHAHA! Yes, I walked out of the store.

What kind of budget do you have to work with? As advised by others, stay clear away from the X-connect.

Antec NeoPower... modular like an X-Connect... but incredibly tight, solid power
comes unsleeved (apart from a half-assed job on the atx cable)... i chose to re-do the sleeving myself

I dont really want to spend more than 150. I can do the sleeving my self if need be.

i just bought the thermaltake 480wt butterfly and they are all already sleeved (could be better) but the power is great.
