I won't be able to do it with my case, as my case is a tad too small. Not unless I make my own case, but that just isn't going to happen blink.gif Anyway, has anyone done this and got some pictures? What I am on about is just mounting a TFT/LCD monitor inside the case, like attached to the window or something. Or maybe just instead of a window there's just a hole in the case which you can see the display through.

Oh and I aint talking about those little playstation TFT's or whatever. Full size monitor type effort...

Well, you're talking major dollars here, but there is this option. But, at over $800US for the case and display, you are going to want to look but don't touch tongue.gif

Your other option might be do do a search for a 5-7" open frame touch screen and make your own bezel to mount it.

hmmm, id like to have a bash at that myself, havent you got to watch the heat, or do TFT's not produce much heat.

coolest tft+case mod i ever saw was one where the tft faced inwards and swung out on a hinge (or flipped round i can't remember lol)... anyway, it meant you could carry your case and screen together - pretty handy for lans smile.gif

Not sure TFT's produce that much heat? Didn't think they did anyway. But if you have case airflow I wouldn't have thought it'd be much of a problem anyway.

Maybe I can find a big old full tower somewhere for cheap and try it out. It'd have to be pretty tall and pretty lengthy to fit a 19" TFT in the side though sad.gif I think...

Golfball power button biggrin.gif

The only problem is.. 16" depth. 19" monitor ... 16" depth... wouldn't work? According to Chieftec my current case is 21" in depth..... HMM.... pretty sure it aint that lengthy!

I was considering mounting a fla panel LCD inside my case where a window would go and have a duct coming off the back of it for ventilation. It would make my LAN rig much more portable, but alas, I don't have any money tongue.gif
