I would like to increase the range of this wireless card(Click Here), so I wane make the antenna longer then it is. I was think of using some copper wire to extend it some how. Any ideas?
Thank You! Alex S.

I dont think the lenth of the antenna equals the range, it's probably set with the chips on the cards, but i wouldn't bet my rig on it Someone with more experience in those might have a better idea

Antenna lengths are tuned to the transmitting frequency of the underlying device. Adding a wire in an attempt to increase the range would more than likely cause problems instead of helping. If you want to increase the range, you're better off seeing if the manufacturer offers a higher gain antenna for your card or router. Or look into adding a repeater somewhere in the mix to improve performance.
