I'm wanting to use my 430watt Antec Truepower to power my vid card and my Mad Dog to power the CPU. How would I go about setting that up?

there is a guide on the main page.

I'm assuming you want PSU2 to switch on when your turn on PSU1? It seems like you would need to figure out how to run a connection from pins 14 and 16 on the motherboard ATX connector (PSU1) to the corresponding pins on PSU2, assuming we're talking a 20-pin connector. (for a 24-pin connector we're talking pins 16 and 18).

Pin 14(green) is the PS-ON wire - completing the connection to ground causes the PSU to switch on.

If you dont want to fuss about cutting anything, just open both psu covers, find the green in both.
The one not plugged to the mobo, Y split the green with a lenth of wire(i'd say 24 inch) the same guage the green is, and go solder that other end to the one that's plugged to the mobo.(or will be)
Now find a black, not a mobo one,and do the same, it does not have to be the same black in each psu, just make sure it's not a mobo black.

Now to make it all nice, you can cut in the middle both wires and find a nice plug male and female so you can unplug and take it off when you want

At startup they'll both purr like kittens wink.gif

do you HAVE to splice the black wire also?
considering both PSUs are mounted in a metal case thus already grounded to eachother
kobalt
Yes both wires have to be connected to eachother meaning black with black and green with green

I
Anyway, as i said both green and black have to be connected between the two PS

EDIT: here's what it looks like in the back, i covered it with wire loom and added RCA jack for connection
