So, are there now power cables longer than 6 feet?!?! I can't seem to find any anywhere. My 6 foot cord is like 2 feet short of where I want it. Anybody know where I can get a longer cord? Is it ok to use an extension cord? I'm not sure if the Power cords are made special to allow more current or whatever, but i need to reach like 2 more feet. Thx

Most if not all extension cords and power strips are rated for 700W or more. Probably the best option for you would be a 6-foot power strip rated for at least 1000W. You can find those for about $10 at many stores, including some grocery stores.

Agreed with the other post and extension cords are i'm sure good enough for any PS out there, i mean if you can plug in a lawn mower to one, you canbe certain that a 500W psu will not harm it one bit

may as well get one that's surge-protected for good measure... just a few quid/bucks more for a little peace of mind..

Yea I agree, rather than searching for a product which may not exist buy a power cord/bar that is surge protected which will not only get your that extra foot or two but reasurance of power surge.

Well its on an APC UPS, but i didnt wanna have to move it. However, i found it easier and cheaper if i just move it over next to the computer. I dont like seeing all the wires, but its not that big a deal and now i dont have to buy a new cord lol. Thx for the replies.
