ive seen this only a few times but people putting mirros in the bottom of there case?

does anyone here have that and if so can i see some pics because were i work has a glass company right next door and i could get some scrap peices and use it to start modding my plain on green cheiftec case.

and also i just ordered some green cold cathodes would behind the hdd be a good spot for one? or should i put one on the top and one on the bottom, or should i just experiment and see which one looks better?

well...my favorite place for cathodes is anywhere where the physical STICK cannot be seen. so yeah, on the bottom, on the top, etc.

mirrors just make it to where the 'on looker' can see everything from above and below...makes it more interesting, adds a cool little illusion to your case, plus it makes it look bigger biggrin.gif

and reflects light, makes cathodes seeem brighter

I have a plexi case and i did that mirror thing, it does reflects the light more but it also makes your wire mess double loll i'd show you pics but it's near time for me to dust and i dont want anyone to see my case dusty loll
Beleive me, it does make a diffrence both with light and mess laugh.gif
Uber
hmmm not a bad idea, although i should hide my wire mess.....

you can try a mirror like decal they use to sell at autoparts stores (it's supposed to look like chrome) it comes in rolls and would be by the pin stripes, and window tinting.

alright thanks for the ideas i may try the auto store for the chrome thing you were talking about,

i think on monday im gonna try and get a scrape peice of glass from the place next door. or have them cut me one to the right size.

i think im going to put one cathode under my drive bays, then one on top ill just have to see once i get them

Also, you could always hide your wires underneath the mirror, just leave yourself about 1/4" between the mirror and the bottom of the case with spacers and run your ide/molex connectors through it.

You can also do something like this but for the bottom of the case, very easy to do , just frost a piece of 6mm plexi the size you need and add leds into the side you'll get something like this.
Not the mirror thing but it'll light up your bottom like crazy laugh.gif laugh.gif

Edit : i might just try that myself huh.gif
