Just got a GA-8KNXP ULTRA MoBo from Gigabyte and wondering what this expansion card (Additional voltage converter for six-phase operation) is for.

It is for a more cleaner and stable voltage output from the PSU to the CPU.

Yep that's about it. Also don't expect to see that much of a difference.. but if you have a multimetter I would love to see some results / compairasons.
