Yea...well I've been having some probs with my system lately...it seems as though the power just shuts off to the HDD randomly, it it a maxtor drive. Could it be that my PSU isnt powerful enough...its like a 380 so i think that might be the prob, what do you think it could be?

I personally think you don't have enough power. Your probably only off by a few watts. Try unpluging something from the psu. For like a day and see if it still does it. If it still does it the maxtor hdd.

I had a similar prob. Bad molex. Check all of your connections and make sure that your HD is connected directly to the PSU if possible. Otherwise, try switching the HDD molex with a less important fan's molex. If that doesn't work, follow the other posters' ideas.
