Well, i just got my new UV Orange X-Connect PSU in the mail. Unfortunatly i wont be building my new computer for at least a couple weeks. W/out hooking it up to my current computer, how can i turn it on? I plug it in, and turn it on but nothing happenes. does it need a current draw to turn on or something? j/w I wanted to play w/ it.

EDIT: Well i tried hooking something to it, still doesnt work. maybe it has to be hooked up to a mobo. all well...

yea, this PSU is really silent. i cant even hear it over the rest of my computer. i love it. and all the voltages seem real stable, but i havent measured them under load. so that doesnt really mean nething lol
EDIT: The best part about this PSU is i got it for $96.31 shipped

i can only hear this one when i put my ear next to it, and then its a sort of low pitched sound. low pitches are much more tolerable then high pitched whiney noises lol. well, good luck on ur search for a quite psu. so far i would recommend this to neone. once i actually build my new rig sometime w/ in the next month, i'll be albe to really test this thing out.

That thing will look great once you get it in your tower and route all of the wires.
I just ordered the 500W Titanium/UV Green off the web last night.
I actually have the same Dragon tower in your picture, lol.
Do you think the UV light inside the PSU will be enough to light the case?
I was going to order another for the bottom of the tower but it looks really bright in the picture.

when you plug the cavles you want to into the PSU do they take up much room pokign out the front of it? how would it work for hiding cables? i know i moved where the bunch of wires come out of mine, i moved it to side so i could hid behind mobo tray. and i never knew they had LEDs in them.... looks good maybe ill buy a green one. and do they come in more wattage than 500? like 600?

To answer the question about weather the light inside the PSU is enough to light the case, i would have to say no. Its great for lighting up the PSU but you'll need other cathodes to make the power cables glow.
I'm not sure how easy it will be to hide the wires, but one thing is for sure, they wont look to bad if they aren't totally hidden

I think the X-Connects are only offered in 500Watts right now.
Hope i asnwered all the questions lol

hiding the cables is kinda tough because they arent that easy to move around, they are pretty stiff. Especially the motherboard cable. but they do look pretty neat so you really dont have to hide them

About the turning on the ps without pluging it into the motherboard. (Picture below) also there are many other post about turning a ps on in this form if you need more information.
