Hi, i have buyed an Vantec ION2 for my 9800pro. but i think it isnt enough cuz my system always crash when i play games... So im looking for a card I specially looking for those Fx 5900 Ultra / fx 5900se/ fx 5900... Or maybe an 9800xt.
So, do i got enough power if my specs are:

AthlonXp 2400
512ram pc 2700
ATX 300w case
Asus A7V8x-X mobo
Vantec ION2 350w PSU

Thanks

It depends, but the basic answer is yes. a 350w power supply is on the weak side, but I've built many systems with a 9800xt and a 300w and they work fine.

If you can squeeze out a better PSU, all the better.

what do you mean it depends?
And do an 9800 pro takes more power then an 9800xt? huh.gif

I believe it's the other way around. The XT needing more juice than the Pro.

Have you bothered to check your voltages with a digital multimeter?

Probably not....unless you've got a REALLY robust 300w psu. I'd look into getting a 400w with good rails and a good reputation for reliability instead of a new card.

Ok im gettin very confused! unsure.gif

Some ppl told me th 9800 pro tooks the more power of all cards...
Can someone please can please tell me whats means all this review :

Cuz i wanna know if i can handle an fx 5900ultra/5900se or 5900 on my rig and i don't want to spend again for an power-supply,

P.S:

I think i have finally found the problem, why my 9800pro doesnt run in my rig well!
Cuz the guy from ebay overheat it.
So it wasnt the psu my problem.
Thanks for your support guys.
