How does this work? does it need an inverter? i'm reading up on it right now on xoxide..."Can be cut to any legnth?"

what the heck?

but it'd be really cool to line the inside of my case with it (in the corners/etc)

my roomate freshman year of college had that stuff on the outside of his case, it was pretty cool (and bright) If i remember correctly it does need an inverter (it should come with one) and i really don't know if you can cut to any length, but if i were to guess, i would guess yes, its a total guess though, so don't trust it to much tongue.gif

Perfect modding accessory for the unique case modder. Limitless possibilities, as the re itself can be cut to any length, and even reused.  Our kit comes with 1.5 M of EL wire, 2.3 mm in width. Our wire is also brighter than most market EL wire and comes with a molex connector.

but what's about the part about 'reuseable'? can you like...stick it back on or something?

Well i'm not sure what you mean but as long as there's colored stuff around your wire you can pretty much do what you want with it.

El means electro luminescent it goes something like> if there's juice flowing in the wire the luminescent part will light up .If you cut it up and splice the wire part you have to skin the luminescent part off of it so that much dosn't work anymore.
That's pretty much what EL reusable is wink.gif

hmmm it nice to look at, but it can get quite annoying because the inverter make a very high pitch beep like humming when its turn on, you can harly hear it, but onceyou do you will want to rip it out just because of that noise.........maybe its just me huh.gif

ok the wire is made up of 2 parts

the main wire (it glows) and then a thin wire that is running along wit it.

to reuse it or cut it or what ever all you have to do i figure out which wire goes to the + and which goes to the -
