Well i got sick of clear water so i decided to spice it up. remebering what MindDrive said to me a few months back about the highlighter, i decided to try it. nad dang. does it ever look good. make sure its a highlighter, and make sure its the kinda that stores ink in those foamy spongy things.
heres the result. Its still light here so i cant take one in the night just yet. ill get one for u guys later on

Thats pretty sweet looking! Does it leave any residue on the waterblock or tubing? A night shot would be sweet ;-)

*edit* there it is
from what ive read around the net id be careful that the dye doesnt leave a residue, becasue that can and will be very annoying
very nice case btw

well i doesnt seem to leave residue, because its quite easy to wash off, and even if it does, the tubes will look alot better with it on

lol thats a great color man i did not know you could do that also i wonder if it is considered conductive if not what a great cheap way to git dye
General

even if it is conductive, so is water so if it drips on anything im screwed anyway

Didn't someone post that the deionized water you sposed to use in WC systems is nonconductive? Anyway that looks awsome, good job!! Wonder how other color highlighters look?

well i was leaning towards like Fluid XP which is suppose to be non conductive i wonder if it would make it conductive it states on there site that its ok to add uv dye BUT if its conductive it will cancel out the fluid its self I'm going to give fluid xp a try but i would like it to be a pretty green

ill have to find out some how if its conductive, maybe when i git the fluid xp ill put a little in a cup and add the dye take a 9 volt battery put 2 leads off of it put them in the cup and test it with a multi meter.

I herd fluid xp is a rip off but it does give you peice of mind about leaving the pc on.
I doubt it will make it conductive tho. its not like they make it out of lead

aint that Fluid XP made of the same stuff Cray used to submerge their processors in for cooling? Fluorinert or something...

The water itself does not conduct electricity, it is the ions in the water that do. If you remove those ions (thus maked deionized water), it will no longer conduct. However, if you drip some onto a circuit, there is probably enough dust and various other residues to add enough ions to the water to make it conduct.

humm....my WC system came with coolant in it to keep it from freezing during cold periods (ex. on the way to a LAN party in the winter lol) it had a little green to it but now its more plain looking...after u test this long term and see if after some time u still like it i may add some to my system.

you can try yourself to see if it stains. just stick it in a tuppaware container for a few days. the effect (if any) should show

ya i think so i have read 3 reviews in which they all say it works one had the guy using it in a test pc and he went to bed woke up to find there was a leak and it emptied out over half the system on the cpu under the cpu on the mobo and on the vid card but it was still in windows and at idle like nothing ever happened a nether one they took like 3 fans and dropped them in a cut open 2 liter bottle and submerged the fans in fluid xp and nothing happened and then they opened up a psu and started to poor some in it and it was fine until the started to completely submerge it and last but not least this guy plugged his pc power cable into the wall got a bucket and put fluid xp it in turned off his breaker and put the cord in it and flipped the breaker on and nothing happened so they all say it works but not in a mass flow i dunno i will git some and do my own little test with it and the dye to see if either one is conductive.

But yes, a full stop here and there would help loads

It's dang near unreadable anyway. I sure hope you don't actually write like that.
Seriously, would it hurt you to add full stops? An extra key press here and there and people would be able to read your posts far, far easier.
Back on topic. Nice dye! I'm just going to leave mine nice and plain though

Last time I added a drop of proper UV dye it did nothing and stained everything really badly.

actully what makes it easier for the eye to read is if instead of this huge freaking paragraph, you press enter every few sentences
markiemrboo
Oct 9 2004, 12:53 PM
Well, that helps too. I find the hardest thing to do is seperate sentances where there are no full stops. I find myself reading a chunk, going back a bit... figuring where the full stop goes and reread. It's very time consuming and very annoying! I'm by no means some sort of grammar expert, at all(!), but I do try and make things as readable as I can

It'd be rather nasty if you replaced the full stops with new lines; an improvement, yes, but still nasty

I vote for full stops

Anyway...!
