I'm building a new PC, and I got all my parts from newegg. As I was getting down to starting to build it, I found that the 500w PSU from Aspire I had bought to replace the one in the case wouldn't fit inside, due to a fan mounted in the top of the case being in the way. I've looked all day to find another one, but nothing I've came up with has the right deminsions to fit into that space before the fan. What would be a good thing to replace it with? Should I just instead move the fan? How would moving the fan to the back of the case effect my system?

mount the fan on the outside of the case like i did mine when my aspire 500watt wouldnt fit biggrin.gif

it will help upward airflow in the case if you have it turned as exhaust otherwise as intake the psu will just get new air

well.. the top exause is realy not THAT important because your PSU kinda acts like that in a way

actually. If you have a ok dual PSU it mattter. mine only take like barely 30cfm... and its a 92mm fan.. just see. but and extra is always better..

Hey Bishop, with all those wires blocking the airflow going out, will it still work if I put it on the outside??

Your power supplie should blow out the hot air that rises.
