We this started out with me posting a question but since I've figured it out I'll start a new thread. Trying to flip the Mobo over and put it on the left side kind of like a Lian li. I got most everything back together. Just waiting on a dremel so I can cut the Mobo try so that my HS cages will fit. Should be done with that something on Saturday. Heres the most comlete picture I got so far. I'll post more soon.
Oh ya, it's a chieftec case if you couldn't already tell.

Im trying to visualize what ur doing. Are you gonna cut the motherboard tray out?
dont those cases come with removable trays?

The tray is held in by rivets. Once it's swapped over to the left side you can't slide the HD cages in anymore because of the latches that are on them. I'm just cutting out that shaded portion so they will fit again.

Why not just flip all your fans around? Same idea, isn't it?

Not to sure yet!! I have 5 vantec green uv 80mm fans right now, but I'm thinking about adding a few coolermaster blue 120's to it so maybe I will have the space now. I already have the hole cut in the top for one. Also thinking about making that 80mm on the window a 120.

i only see one flaw be carefull not to hurt your mobo with the 5 1/4 drives or have you already calculated that in?

It should be good. My mobo is kinda short. My HD sticks out quite a bit from the bottom cage and stills has about a 3 inch clearance. The CD drive is about a inch short from the third row of standoffs so thats all I got to work with.

Well in general when i ask somethign like this im wondering something like what ur going to really get out of doing this, not that your a stupid looser bc u want to do something different than what i would do.....bc ur not, i just like to know the reason

Sorry man. The reason I'm doing this is because I like the way some of the Lian Li's look with the PSU on bottum and the Mobo flipped. I dont really have the money to fork out for a new one (260+) so my cheap 55 chieftec will do just fine
Bad news is I just found my dremel and it no longer works

I have a jigsaw coming tommorrow so that means I get to drill all the rivets out again and take it apart to cut it

Yay

Edit: All Done. Let me know what you think. Ill post more pics soon.
