I'm thinking about taking the side glass-sidecase off and replacing it with a big dust filter paper-thingy like the ones for fan. Something fine to block the dust, maybe something like the aluminum type filter.
I think that doing this and blowing all fans out would create much better air flow and have cooler ambient air cool off the heatsink.
Thanks a bunch

hmmm.... interesting idea, you'd have to make sure that air can't get in anywhere else then...thats the tough part. Good idea otherwise, if you do it, I expect pics and a review from you telling us how it worked

The problem with having all of the fans pushing out is that you there will have to be an equal amount of air coming into the case, so the fans either wont be able to push out to their full potential because it cant replenish the air inside the case, or it wont push enough air out to pull the hot air off of your components. Pushing cool air over components is always better than having it pushed away. With the big side panel air filter thing, I think it would look retarded, it would be too hard to pull off, and only way it would make any difference is if you had air flowing through it. Besides that, it would barely do a thing.

I dont really care for looks, just having the heatsink be able to have access to cooler air, just like taking the side panel case off, would cool the cpu down to 39 c/40 c. If anything, i'll purchase a little fan to blow thru it B) . Nothing wrong with that.

Might be neat, might be a waste of time and money....
I can see where you're getting at, and I think that Byron might not quite get it.
The only worry I'd have, is that you won't be able to get enough airflow in the right places...But if you added a few extra fans INSIDE the case blowing sideways...Just might work great. Just remember, air flows for one point to another in the shortest route possible, so air goes pretty much straight from an intake to the exhaust...

I have to agree on that one, besides components like video cards and such have to get air from a fan, meaning air pushed at a noticable speed to cool. Your plan would eliminate that rapid air flow.
But otherwise a good idea for dust

And get it at any home depot or what ever where the air ducts are
