Mmm what recommendation do u guys have to mod my case to add up one extra fan... here is the pic
confuzzedintelguy
OMG i would be more worried about wire managment it will in crease air flow and thats just restrickting air flow
TimeMachine
First is to make the wire more manged like intelguy said and put the most powerful fan on top so it can suck up the hot air since hot air rises and also if you have a sidepanel make one that blows the cpu so it can have cooled air when the the cpu is blowing at
daniel
MMM... ok..
THe most powerful fan they sell here is a 80X80X2 and its chicken brand... brandless
TimeMachine
well wat i mean is dat, out of all the fans you own get the most powerfulest one to be on top and the sidepanel is only to draw air in.
daniel
I know... but i want to know which one will be the easiest and better... if i put the one on the top... ill arrange the other ones... so i have the number of extracting fans that i want...
TimeMachine
well wats ur cpu temps??? idle and full load
daniel
idle are processor- 48
sytem zone 1- 40
system zone 2 -45
Full load im not sure.. but just when i open cod i get
processor- 64
system zone 1-49
system zone 2- 52

i would suggest a better power supply - that one looks kinda cheap - take it out - if its fairly light then 86 it and get an antec "true blue" one or another one - you get what you pay for so a 400 watt ps should run ya bout $65+USD

two words....WIRE TIES!.....but other than that, buy some rounded IDE cables.. it think newegg has some on sale now, and again, like intelguy said get a new fan for the side and put a powerful one on top.

Happy OC'ing and as always........ foldon.gif foldon.gif

(P.S.) - oh and MindDrive.....3.248...i'm disapointed...my 2.4C is wooping up all over you...lol. Get back to work on that!

Cut a hole and put one on the top and one on the side.

A can of compressed air would help too. Looks to me like you have a fair bit of dust on your cpu fan. Make sure you at least clean off all your heatsinks and fans if not everything.

look @ my post in your other thread
confuzzedintelguy
also those temps are high for a northwood core

You can "round" the IDE cables (or buy rounded). I prefer to "round" them myself.

ya i know 600mhz is lame but ive had it upto 3.7ghz on my gigabyte mobo but i couldnt adjust the ram timings on that board so it would eventually just lock up - this badboy 2.6c is one of the first generation 2.6c's - its old and its on its last legs

as for boosting it up any more - i cant - burned out my motherboards - and i had to take that albatron mobo back for rent $$ sad.gif so untill i get another mobo im pretty much stuck with that score
daniel
ok... is it possible to do a side thingy like this case's?

Again it comes only with a special kind of case but if you dont mind a little work.
You could do something nice with those video card coolers that has 2 80 mm fans side by side and holds in a slot, i cant remember where i saw those but they can probably be hooked on an hinge to ressemble something like that smile.gif

EDIT: or get one of these and work your way around it, you can choose your fav. fans smile.gif

try one tornado fan plus the alx800 by thermalright those two should run you about 22usd
daniel
mmmmm ok, almost ready to start modding... but heres a thing.. people told me to do a hole on the top and one on the side... how can i do the one on the side if that one is a sliding "door".
GTSticky
You dont need another fan. Take off the 2 rear fans and cut all that metal itshay out of the way so they actually move air and you'll notice a huge improvement.
daniel
but i dont have finger guards,,,,

ok well if thats a cheiftec of li-lan case you can go to http://www.voyeurmods.com/ and either buy a custom side panel of a custom top panel i got both and its really anoying because i got 9 fans running in my pc lol. but thats always a idea to get a new side panel with 3 fans on it.
