Sup guys - I have a spare psu that I would like to use for testing things or to power up drives/fans while outside the case. It's a standard 350W P4-compatible psu. How can I turn it on outside the case, wichout having it connected to a mobo? There's no on-off switch is why I'm asking, like on older psu's. Can it be done?

Thanks!

Take a short piece of wire, stick one end in the pin for the green wire, and the other end to any black wire.

There is, but he wants to use it "AS"a tester to test fans, lights etc. wink.gif

My power supply has an on-off switch on the back but it still is dead. Will shorting out the black and green wires work for me also?

Yes.
