I've got an Antec (Chieftec) SOHO 1040B case at home and I'm wondering if you guys could give me some tips on cable management? It's pretty flippin aweful right now. I've got a 10" cold cathode, 4 fans, floppy, 1 hard drive, and 2 CD drives. It's a hell of a gaming machine, if I do say so myself, but aesthetically it needs some help. The IDE and floppy cables are rounded, but otherwise, it's a mess in there.

some pictures could be helpful.

anyway. try routeing cables behind the motherboard but dont route too many or ull put alt of stress on the PCB.tuck them behind the drivesor in any spare drives bays.

sleeve them. they looks good even if their messy when their sleeved.

This is what I do; buy a bunch of twist ties and try and make as little free cables as possible. IE, make it so there are like 4-5 large gobs of cables all together neatly rather than 50 free-floating ones smile.gif.

I had the same case with about the same amount of stuff in it. Here's a pic of what it looked like.

The cable going across the board from the fan wasn't like that in the end. I got a fan with a lonnger cable and ran it around the top-left corner of the mobo and then straight down to the connector. Another thing I did was I hid all the extra cables from the PSU behind the mobo tray, (non removable) and the cables you see at the bottom of the case were tucked in neatly under the side of the case.

Here's a pic of what it looked like without the side panel

BTW, tye stupid wire from the bracket to the HS/Fan is running out of the io/shield and then back in from the top.

that doesnt look to bad to me - you could try taking that fan wire and kinda weave it through some of the components on your motherboard - just be carefull of the capasitors

*(edit)* lol sorry heh - crash's case doesnt look that bad and ^^^ apply's to his case - yeah post some pictures - i got the antec 840 series - same case cept it only has 1 removable harddrive rack
