will this acurately mesure the abient (air) temperature of an area of my case or do i have to attach it to something like the cpu, and dimm etc. does anyone know of a product that i can use to monitor the air in a specific area of my case?

i had 2 of them...one of them came messed up ,and the other one was ok...it read the temps about 4*off <_<

from the air to did you have the attached to a heatsink or something?

it will show the air tempture.. what you would prolly want to do.. is dangle it from the top of the case to the middle of the case.. like.. hrmm..

tape in about the middle if the wire.. somewere at the top of the case.. and then let the probe just dangle freely about in the middle of the case..

and that will show the temp inside the case..
It has a 3 second delay.. as for the tempture being off.. I have not had a problem with mine.. it seems to be like .5 degrees off from what my thermostat says in the house..
