Whats the deal with powmax. Is it an ok brand or just some cheapo noname. I see this brand where ever i go. I have a 550 watt power supply from them it has a 120mm fan on the bottom and a 80mm fan in back. It seems ok, i had it for about 6 months.

I saw those there just come with cases so the case sellers can say it comes with a power supply and they will sell faster ones with power supplies vers a case does not come with one. Also makes the case cheaper then having to buy a case and buying a ps. i wouldn t trust those i heard they break and burn out unless its an antec or aspire or thermaltake one that comes with the case there good seen and used them.

A good indication of a quality power supply is the weight of it. If it's pretty light (as in under 5 or 6 pounds) then it's not likely a good one.

Well, I got a Powmax case w/psu almost a year ago and it's still running strong (actually, it's overvolting my 12V rail to 13. The other two are about .02V short of their goal, but still great)

Really? I like mine. It's got a bit of a cheap feel to it to start, but it works fine (paint's not that durable though)
