Alright, ... I am buliding my frst rig and looking for a full tower case, .. .or something that can support up to 5 - 5.25" External drive bays and 6 or more Internal 3.5" drive bays. For budget, would like to stay under $150.

Also has anyone heard or know anything about the Ultra X-Connect 500W ATX PS with UV Cable Kit if so I would like to know more about it ,... cuz it's they got a good idea with the cables.

One last thing, ... does anyone know someone or have they done a case mod with 40mm fans in a 5.25" External drive bay. And if so how did it work out.

Driver heaven did a review of the X-Connect PSU. Seems like a solid power supply with a smart idea.

I thought about that...With 3 40'mm fan holes... itd look really nice too...But bad i cant find a whole saw for that size or i would

Thank you CmpFreak88 for the review link. it proves to be a solid psu.

p8baller07 useing a hole saw? are you meaning to cut in a drive bay cover? or something else? The reason I was asking cuz I was htinking about taking off a drive bay cove and useing 3 40mm fans and fixing them in to the drive bay with either silicone or hot glue gun.

I forgot to ask this question before, .. and it's most likely a noob question, but I was wondering, ... on that psu it says --

The cabling included is as follows:

1x 20-Pin Main Power
1x 6-Pin AUX (Xeon) Power
1x 4-Pin 12V (P4)
6x 4-Pin Peripheral
1x Floppy

the "1x 4-pin 12v (P4)" is what I have a question about. The quesiton is would it work for a AMD motherboard, such as an ASUS A7N8X Deluxe v2.0. If someone can answer that question or show me a link that could answer it for me that would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like a nice PSU, but the review was very flawed. For example, they didn't even state if they used MBM5 or a digital multimeter to measure voltages, they didn't list idle/load voltages, etc. The PSU looks nice, but I would always emphasize performance over looks. Look around the web for a good review on that particular PSU.

BTW, what is the maximum about of money you would like to spend on a new PSU?

Right now I don't know my budget for a psu. I am keeping all my options open right now. So, ... if you show me a psu thats alot of $$$ I will look at it to see if it would work for me.

First time i have seen somthing like that looks like a good idea but not sure how much you want to but into your computer. IT looks like you can t attach other cables onto other ones I get it be sure you know how many cables you need.

I've thought about the triple little guys in the drive bay too.

now for the other question,... I'm looking for a Full tower case with 5 - 5.25 external drive bays, and 6 or more internal 3.5 drive bays, ... also would be nice if it has a door covering the 5.25 drives. and for no more $150

So you want a large case right (you aren't going to get compact with 5 5.25" bays anyway are you)...

Check out the BA and CA series on the top left of the page.. they are big, and IMO looks pretty cool.. plus 6 - 5.25" and 8 - internal 3.5". As they only just announced it, you probably won't be able to buy it for a bit.. but they do look beastly.

Yeah I have looked at them, .. and I like them, but theres one thing, ... I haven't been able to find them any where so if you have an Idea where to get one could ya let me know.
