Ok I posted a question in another forum bout a SFF case I saw here http://www.dfi.com.tw/Press/press_header_c...310.jsp&SITE=NA
My question was posted here http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread...s=&threadid=936
Now, these guys say that a SFF=mATX. From what I've seen SFF are all barebone systems(i.e. case, mobo, and sometimes any or all of these PSU, HSF, CPU). And also an mATX case mounts the mobo on the side like a regulare ATX tower case, unless the case is designed like a VCR, the SFF cases use a bottom mounted mobo and I don't see how a mATX board would fit in a Shuttle/Biostar/ASUS, etc. unsure.gif
IS a SFF the same as an mATX?? I'm not sure anymore.
Thanks for the help.

Some SFF cases will accept MATX boards, others use a proprietary board. Some SFF cases are designed to accept MATX boards. Of those, some mount flat and others vertically. To confuse issue even more, some of these will accepy full-height PCI cards and others won't.

For eample, the Antec Minuet mounts a MATX mobo flat and only accepts half-height cards.

The Antec Araia does the same except it will take full height cards, as does the Chenbro Hornet.

So the answer is, you can put a MATX mobo in a SFF case. What you plan to use it for dictates which one you get.

Judging by your other post, might I suggets you lookat the MSI K8TM-ILSR and the Antec Aria and see if that meets your needs.

Thanks Nemo, the issue is quite confusing. I am looking for a small cube looking case. I have this on my wish list right now. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc....-150-011&depa=0
I was just hopeing that DFI was going to make one like this Soltek. It just seems that a MATX would be called a MATX regardless of look, and a SFF would be a SFF. unsure.gif Oh well not like I have the $$ anyway. Hopefully by the time i got the cash the different niches will be more distinct. Untill then... foldon.gif foldon.gif

Check out the Antec Aria case. You can put whatever AMD Socket 754 MATX mobo you want in there, influding the DFI K8M800-MLVF. The nForce3 is a good chipset, but I don't know about Soltek as a brand.
