Just curious if anyone had tried that. I would love to be able to read my diode temp on my NF7-S (without disabling hardware thermal protection), unfortunately I am amazingly crap at soldering smile.gif

I don't even have any old unused boards to try my hand at unsoldering/soldering fine pins without breaking them or joining them with solder. dang!

looks pointless lol

hmm....adding a new diode that you have to take the computer apart to see the temperature, and not allowing the bios to read the temp, and if the processor perhaps overheats, you'll have a blown chip.

gl with that one bud

huh?

Read it again? The first mod allowed you to read the CPU diode temperature but disabled the NF7-S thermal protection. That mod allows you to read the CPU diode temperature (with software like MBM in Windows) but it also manages to keep the thermal protection.

I was wondering if anyone had tried it here...
