Becaues of how bored I've being lately, I've decided that I would get at least one major computer project done this summer. So, I've decided to do an acrylic case. I have the acrylic(plenty of it...), a dremel, a square(people who've done carpentry/construction will know what I'm talking about there), and my step-dad, who's an electrician/sub-contractor.

So, what are some things that I should look into first?

getting a mobo tray from an old case is a good idea...

remember to wear some latext gloves or something when doing work on the case. those acrylic cases are bad about showing finger prints and such. Also, I think lighting around the corners of an acrylic case looks really good. but that is just MO.

"try" to get plans of a nice one that you like, it's always better if you have some kind of mesurement that you can follow wink.gif

IDK but i thought about doing the same thign bc the duron in my sig's case looks bad and has not so great airflow. (around 42C full load for a 1.3 duron NOT OCed) so i thought abotu making it look better by making a case for it. my major reason for not doing it alerady is bc idk if i want to make it big enough for full size mobos yet (mocro ATX in it now) but that's a whole nother story.

Anyway i'd say just try to keep it clean and take your time so it looks great when your finished, lighting is really up to you i'd say look at other ppl's attempts to see wat u like.

remember to get drill bits made for drilling plastic/acrylic/plexi

if yo uuse regular drill bits, your holes wont be clean... with special drill bits.. it will be a perfect hole
