I'm desperate to know

What goes on an NPT Male thread to make it into a normal hose pipe type barb thing? Please?

you will have to go to a plumbing store, or home depot/loews and go to their plumbing section and you will need to find an adapter that has the hose fitting on one end and will screw onto the NPT thread....otherwise, you could heat up the hose reeeeaaaal hot and try to squeeze it over...lol...

lol so I can find something that'll screw onto that and have a nice hose barb thing on the other end?

I was thinking maybe just try and shove the tubing over it anyway actually But knowing it wasn't quite right would probably annoy me!

just go to the hardware store.....
Lowes, Home depot, Ace, Etc. etc.

I don't think we have those in the UK I'll just check some plumbing place!

EDIT: Oh, poo! I actually need a 3/4" version with a 1/2" or 3/4" barb (should be able to stretch the tubing over a 3/4" barb). The 1/2" NPT things say they're going to take 4 weeks to deliver, can't wait that long

simply npt is national pipe thread, if you need that one special looking end on that thingy go to ace and get a (looks like 3/4) 3/4 inch pvc coupling and then get a barb for whatever size hose you need and with 3/4 male npt costs about (coupling $.79 barb $1.50)
