with the pump above
new hoses - instead of using silicone 1/4" hose from the aquariusII kit - i am using 3/8" clear nylon pluming hose - 24 cents a foot from hardware store

instead of using the aquariusII's radiator (took advice of so many members here) i was searching car parts stores for a transmition oil cooler or a heater core (didnt want a junkyard dirty one) and i met a guy that sold me his radiator from his motorcycle he had laying in parts in his garage for 25 bucks. suprizingly clean for being used
the radiator is about 4 inches tall (120mm fan fits it perfectly) and a lil over 3 120mm fans long by an inch and a half thick
the "cores" are about 1/8" thick and inch n a half wide, the whole thing is gloss black. i had to take the original hoses off - didnt want to - but the metal was pretty dang sharp and i already had 1 run in with the metal hose tearing the silicone hose - thats why i went with nylon instead - durability DONT FOR THE LOVE THAT IS ALL ELECTRICAL USE SILICONE HOSE !!!!! OH MAN JUST SAY NO!!!!!
anyway - at the same hardware store i bought 3/8" plastic hose fittings for 2 reasons - 1 they are plastic and dont have sharp burrs , and 2 the threds on the radiator are metric and everywhere around here doesnt sell metric threaded plumbing supplies so i had to shave some of the threading off and force new threads on it (worked pretty good actually)
then i changed the fittings on the zalman waterblock to the largest ones they supplied - i love the threaded fittings as opposed to quick-release snap in - dont trust snap together parts - never have - ever since i was a child putting together models *image fades in of model parts on the floor all broken to pieces and 6 year old bawling his eyes out* HAHAHHAHaH SUCKER sorry get carried away sometimes............
in comparison to the aquariusII this whole kit from scratch cost me:
$54 for the Zalman ZM-WB2 or is it 1 :S from TigerDirect Naperville Illinois store
$25 for the crotch rocket radiator from some dude (forgot his dang name)
$13 for the 60GpH fountain pump from Big R's in Morris Illinois
$10 for the 9ft of hose and the fittings and hose clamps from True Value Gilbert, Arizona
$free sony spressa usb cdrw drive case from pile of crap in room
$bonus clear plastic window for spressa case from pump package
busted knuckles, wet carpet and experiance points *Priceless*

heheh had to do it
the aquariusII kit:
$119 at Fry's Electrics here in tempe arizona
total amount of gratification - nill but it was a great starter kit and was full of learning possibilities. Its a great thing that Fry's took the kit back - many props to Fry's !!! - the only thing i forgot to put back in the kit was the metal sticker plate that was on the resovoir tank that i pulled off an put on my cdrom filler bay thingy plate :S sorry my bad
after 50+ hours of bashing and cool down at 100% load on my processor my temps are now 109 MAX!!!! i havnt been able to get it over 109 even if i unplug the 120mm fan on the radiator, previously they were (on air) 131~135, aquariusII- 125~131, with the TEC 176 (no it wasnt backwards - my p4's heatshield was warped

i have since then lapped the p4 till i seen copper all the way across and has a mirror finish so when i am done blasting this puter with this set up i am going to once again add the TEC/pelt and see if my cooling is cold enough to handle the stress - i am not using a hardcore pelt just 51W i just want below 95F on a full load - LMAO im getting my puter loaded - its a lush now
