technicly UV shouldn produce any visible light, cuz its higer on the EM spectrum than visible light. I have some sunbeams and they work fone.

Well, the idea of cathodes is NOT to be bright, the idea being that they will make the UV reactive objects in your case illuminate and be seen rather than the purple light taking over everything. I have 4 UV cathodes in my case and it gives me enough light to make everything glow very brightly

Trust me, UV cathodes are a hell of a lot less bright than "normal" cathodes but thats just how they're meant to be. I used to think the same as you, I thought I got ripped off from a site, because my cathodes didnt illuminate well at all, but I was wrong.

If they made true UV cathodes, they would kill you

Alright, are you sure that your cathodes can "see" all of the UV stuff your trying to illuminate? UV light may not be visible, but it certainly cannot dodge its way around wires and fans that are in its way. So try repositioning the lights and see if that helps at all. It is possible that you got a crap set of cathodes, but you might want to try that out first, otherwise order a new set from somewhere else, see if you can pick up a decent set. I got mine for 20 @ compusa and they are really bright despite the fact that they are no-name, lol

I can only see UV light on the parts of my case that are shiny, anywhere else no such luck.
Goin back to char1ies point light only travels in a straigh line so just stick ur hand in ur case and push all the wires to once side and see if ur Uv things light up enough. Do this at night with the lights off and no other cathodes on
