It would be all right if that is what you wanted personally I like airbrushed
doesn't look cheap and your not limited to Idea's.
I don't care what they say about easy peel off you have it on there for a while and the case gets hot it will not peel off as easy as they say. It's like shelf paper thats been on wood for a long time.

well if you paint your own idea it would be cool, but i dont think that wraping stuff is any good

I rather really like it.
Your not limited to ideas since you can send them any image and they will print it for you.
Also modern adhesive don't have the problem like they use to; its advanced in level just like everything else. I have no doubt believing this will just peel right off.
I personally don't like the idea of airbrush, because what happens in several months when I want to change it. Also any place I checked into for airbrushing was several hundreds bucks. This in only $35 for one side. Which is all I would want.
So personally that NWN one looks to cool to pass up. I will probably be ordering one today.
thanks bosco.

If I got one for free and it looked cool(Half-Life one

), I would put it on my crappy case I got.

But why the hell would someone cover up their Lian Li case with it?

QUOTE (Delone @ Sep 11 2002, 05:23 PM)
But why the hell would someone cover up their Lian Li case with it?

Exactly.

Also... how does this affect heat?
If I have a window, can a cover be made to cover the area arround the window only? What about fan holes?
Most people I know have a window on one side, and the other side the have another computer... wall, or something like that.
Also, it looks as if I wanted to get this done to a server or a micro-itx, it would cost the same... is that correct?

Thanks for your comments guys. Lets see what I could clear up at the moment.
Ronin's comment on this being expensive -
I would like to ask, compared to what? The only thing comparable would be airbrushing. The cost of materials even if done by yourself is what? Paint, airbrush, compressor, YOUR time? What's your time worth? Yes if spending time on a personal project like posey mention is important to you then that's important to you, this may not be for you. But many of you now buy window kits, or even cases with Window kits standard. Why is that not just an "expensive" and lazy way of getting a cool look compared to making your own window kit. Different strokes for different folks. It's all cool.
ShadowLord's comments --
Shadowlord is correct in the fact that the vinyl and processes used are latest tech. The company that spawned this casewrap idea is the one I work for called Fleetfx Graphics www.fleetfx.com and its been our business for over 15 years to decal and dedecal (remove) vehicle graphics, including entire vehicle wraps. These things come off after 24hrs or 10 years if you wish it to stay on that long.
d3bruts1d's comments -
Right now we're working with a big mod company doing some research on printing on our transparent line of Vinyl's and seeing the effect they have being overtop of Window kits and the different positive or negative effects different situations may have. Stay tuned for details on those results, and if positive, expect to see new lines of products to take advantage of that.
As for our regular vinyl wraps, you'd just probably cut the part where your window is out. You'd still pay for the full price of a panel being that's how it's printed. Basically anything that gets in the way or covers something you don't want covered, you cut it out.
As for small servers or micro cases and such, pricing and premade kits are in development and you'll pay much less for something like that. The bulk of the cost of any CUSTOM case is the fact it's custom. It's the setup time for the printer, for the vinyl for the minor color tweaks ect. Our premade series of themes will sell for a nice price, and it's basically based on the sqaure foot, no setup because we'll be making more then one at a time. Just like anything. Try ordering a single custom 1"x1" case decal for 3.50US, you can't you have to pay a bit more and get a min of 10 ect ect.
Thanks for all your comments guys. I'll try my best to ease any concerns you may have. Keep them coming

Well, I'm not going to give my comments because I haven't seen the product up close and personal. I don't think it would be very fair to prejudge the product by looking at pictures.

I was thinking about something like that made out of paper, or perhaps replace a side with cardboard. would that be bad for my temp? my speakers wouldn't be a problem.
