So...yea wuts the difference between rheobus and baybuses? From wut i've seen they seem pretty much the same...or is one to control lights and hte other fans?

A rheobus uses rheostats (rotery knobs).... baybusses use switches..

Either can be used to controls fans or lights... just gotta know what you are doing.

When you use a baybus, things are either on or off...
When you use a rehobus, you can increase/decrease the applied volatge alloing you to reach a varity of settings... From off, to low, to medium, to high, to max, and everything in between....

Is it hard to hook up a rheobus?

I don't think it is.

Oh yeah I had never noticed that they were different before. I think that Rheobuses are easy to hook up but not positive. I've heard the more expensive one at pcmods.com is a great one.

Depends on if you're buying a kit or building your own. And some kits are easier than others. And if building your own, make sure that everything is wired well, with heatsinks on there. The things have been known to start fires.
Baybusses wouldn't have this problem.

YEah it probably would be a good idea to make sure the wriing is very good on a rheobus and to not leave it on low too much. That deifinitely would do a good job frying a chip. I have a sort of rheobus that was preinstalled in my Lian-Li. It controls 4 fans and is a thing that controls the fans in 3 stages no knobs or switches though.

That is still a baybus so-to-speak. As it still "toggles" rather than "adjusts."

What you have, I believe just switchs from 0v (off) to 7v to 12v... Giving you a off, low, high settings....

The rehobus will increase/decrease in resistance as the knob is turrned limiting the current that flows, thus slowing down/speading up the fan..

Oh yeah then I guess that I do have a Baybus not that I really care it is small and efficient and does the job.

True. smile.gif Both do the same things more-or-less...

I was just trying to clear up my defination.. I didn't think I did a great job of explaining it at the begining.

Whatever it was pretty good but the point of having to have the unlimited knob settings was nice to know thanks.
