Hi!
I have a 225W PSU and a MSI 694D motherboard with 2 X PIII 733Mhz CPUs installed. I suspect the psu might be too weak, because I can't get my agp port to work properly. I've tested it with 16Mb, 32Mb Riva TNT2 (they are not recognized by system), 8Mb ATI Rage Pro (recognized but the card won't 'start'), 8Mb Diamond SiS 6326 (works, but not very compatible with my applications and SMP - makes the computer hang when playing audio, in single processor mode - no problem). I've tested the cards with my old Gigabyte single processor board and they all work. Now I have to use an old 4Mb PCI card, and I'm not very satisfied with that. There is one more problem; when overclocking the processors to ~807Mhz (overclocking to any other Mhz causes computer not to boot at all, and I have to clear CMOS), windows xp pro shows a bluescreen and restarts when trying to start it. When trying to reinstall with overclocked cpus, the installation program can't find files which are on the installation cd! This happens even when I've ajusted the CPU Vcore.

Anybody knows what might cause these problems? Power supply too weak? Any other ideas? I have a SBLive sound card installed with KX Project drivers, and it's working perfectly. All onboard peripherals I don't use, like SCSI adapter, USB, soundcard, LPT and floppy controller, are disabled in BIOS. I've also updated the BIOS and the VIA 4in1 drivers.

reply would be very appreciated

/Nicklas

PS: voltage readings show 12V, 5.28V, 3.36V

What's your memory in MB, with win XP pro it takes a lot out of it and might be the problem, windows might not allow enough mem for the video card.

Have you tried with a bigger psu?
And also i've noticed that you were using ati and nvidia, do you completely clear the drivers before loading the other, cause they tend to step on eachother's feet tongue.gif
