Hey
I started today with the project of wiring my case and making it look really good. I have done all that I can for today, and just want to know what I could do better. I am getting a new case, new cpu fan, and some round IDE & Floppy cables, so i thought i'd try it on this one just to see what I can do, and what mistakes I make, and what I can do to improve for the real job (new case).

I think that when i redo the power supply, I am going to rotate the sleeve so that the open part is in the back. The rear fan i slipped into the sleeve, and then wrapped the excess around the psu connector until I had a nice taught line to plug into. For case hookups, i just pulled them tight, and then put the slack on the back of the case. So if you have any tips for me, I really want to know so that I can have a great looking new case when it comes!

Dude! that's one collossal image!

If ya dont wanna buy round ide cables, try folding them in half then half again and cable tie-ing/webbing them. I've found that it was a suprisignly quick solution to improve air-flow and tidyness.

also, i notice a ps2 converter piece - if it's for your mouse, I personally ditched these as soon as I had more than 2 usb ports - they can fall out easily.

Lastly, (LOL) on the very bottom picture right underneath your last PCI slot and floppy cable port, i SWEAR there is a dead fly next to the bracket that holds the foot in place!

Fudging hell that pic is big!... One question though.. improving airflow is certainly a good thing.. and you have done a pretty good job so far. But that looks like a stock amd hsf on you cpu. you should be more worried about replacing that with something better.. as it will reduce your temps far more than tidying would. If it purely aesthetic, then its a good job. You may want to move that upper hardrive down a couple of notches to stop it from blocking the rising air. Do you have a fan in the lower front of that case?.. if not you could do with one of those as well.

I just wanna know about that poor dead fly sad.gif

Yea, i bought the stuff last thursday from newegg biggrin.gif, so i'm just waiting on that. It is a stock hsf on it regretably, but will be a good thermaltake one soon. Yes, apparently I have a dead fly or somethin in my case biggrin.gif, I have my round ide cables comin, i just put my regular ones back in so I can run this rig. Ive got some more lcd fans that I just left out of the case when I did the pics also, and sorry about the hugeness of the pictures, just wanted to flaunt the new digicam biggrin.gif

What cam u got? Should've just stuck macro mode on for a few close up's of the important bits wink.gif

and if you'd be as kind, I'd quite like to see that fly in a close-up macro too...lol

hehe nice man.

You wiring is actually fanstastic. You've gotten all the power cables sleeved, maybe just getting that bulk of everything tucked under something.. And I am a big fan of how round-IDE cables looks but it may not be worth the money. Like they have said, the only thing else you can really do besides move around the wires you have already managed, is fold your IDE cables and tuck em somewhere else.

one more things to add: you can always take out the cable connecting your floppy and only connect when you need it. I don't even use one unless I'm reformatting... ANd since that's the only cable covering your MOBO significantly, I say yank it. You can leave the drive in for convenience.

nice wiring job. get that fly out before something comes to its rescue and flys into your hsf.

not bad, pretty clean looking. im not a big fan of that tubing but to each his own i guess. some ide origami would be cool in your case.

get rounded ide cables, move the hdd at the bottom towards the top...so there isn't really a 'stretch'.

everything else looks good.
