Not that I really expect any of you to care, but I've decided that this coming summer, I'm going to be building a completley custom case for my next computer. Right now I'm trying to come up with a really good design...I don't want to do just the "all plexiglass" case, since that's been done before, better than I could probably do it. If any of you have any good ideas, I'd love to hear them, and implement them any way I can. I'm planning to give myself a decently sized budget for this. smile.gif

Yeah that is kind of true when you think about it...But it would be original in the sense that no one uses it on their cases though...Too many things have been doen with cases hard to think of anything to do...Sorry.

Yeah, I realize all of this, but for some reason, the only way I ever get an idea is to ask people for their opinions, and then completley ignore whatever is said. Not that I don't listen to them, but putting something down in question form somehow gets me thinking on it better.....
For example, I've already got an idea involving ABS tubing, cut in half, hard to describe, and I'll probably dump the idea anyway, but oh well....

infact you should use anything you cum up with anyway because that would just be gross.

If size constraints didn't come to mind, I bet an old NES system would be a great unique case. Since that doesn't really work as an option.. hmmm... how about a small refrigerator case? The Freon would work wonders for system cooling. I think the only problem would be moisture/condensation. B)
damonx
lol no if in the fridge u have enough circulation moister wont jsut condence that badly tongue.gif

and no i mean make an old screen in a puter so u can see the mother board threw the screen

not a mac. just have the screen an actual tower only biggrin.gif

i have the schematics in my brain if i could draw id scan it for u guys.
maybe ill try.. lol

go to www.shrevesystems.com and try to buy an old apple g4 or g3 case then mode that with a pc board.. not sure it ahs ever been done, cool looking case too

Now that I've seen how small those mini-ITX boards are, you could throw together a NES computer case. Just would have to mangle the back for the different I/O Panel back there, maybe throw a 3 1/2" floppy where the game cartridges normally go. Wouldn't be much of a spot for CD/DVD-ROM, and the system can't really be upgraded too much for wicked speed, but that would be pretty crap cool regardless.

Can you tell I like the NES case idea?

If they can do it with an old PS1, I bet the old NES would work great. smile.gif YOu could enen use the NES game door for rge CD rom. smile.gif
