Click here for Tom's Hardware review of Lian Li sweet case!

Check this out! This is one of the best ideas I've seen in a long time. Someone mentioned before about putting a mobo on the opposite side of the case and having the PSU on the bottom. Here you go.

This is definatly gonna be my next case!

What do you think?

you know, that's funny, its the same case that d3 posted in the thread you are talking about (fastss started it)

i'm not sure i'd like a case THAT nice tho... maybe same design but made by a cheaper priced company but not cheap n nasty...

i'd get it all scratched up and all sorts thanks to endless modding! laugh.gif

i just spent about 3 hours taking my computer apart, replacing the nb cooler, adding a fan to it, lapping the nb, hs, and vga silencer, adding a ducted exhaust "chimney"...

if only you could buy practise cases that were exactly the same eh... i dunno, like b-grade stock from lian li... heh heh i'll keep dreaming...

Old news. Someone posted that case thinking it was made for BTX. I don't like the design seeing that heat rises. Where's the ventilation? Pointless.

Well, the heatshield between the hd compartment and mobo for starters. I think with a simple mod you could have the psu's and hds cooled seperatley from the mobo and cpu. think about it, if thers no added heat from the hd and psu mobo and cpu temps would drop. eh?

Yeah, but you don't buy a $250 case to mod it, you buy it for what it can do.

Shitt I wish I would have seen this earlier, just ordered a new case 2 hours ago off Newegg. sad.gif Oh well I'll just get this one around September by then I'll be board of the new case. laugh.gif

Man ghost i cant wait untill your parents start making you pay for gas and insurance, with no job you wont be driving.

i honestly dont like it ---

for starters - simple rule: HEAT RISES! why would you want a massive heat generating device at the BOTTOM of the case PULLING hot air from the TOP to the BOTTOM creating a hot pocket of airflow??????

sure it might look "bad" cause its different, but come on, think of physics..... why pull hot air DOWN through all your devices so it fights the natural order of things !?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

It shouldn't ever gettime to rise with one 120mm fan pushing air in and one exhausting hot air out, see my point?

having the cpu at the bottom of the case (ie cooler than the top) is beneficial... just check out some reviews on the net and look for the cooling comments, it does itself proud...
bigred
anyone remember physics in school... heat rising thing?

well I personally think this case is a bad idea. the PSU is designed to have the hot air rise up to it, so it can suck it up and spit it out the back of the case. it also looks like there's no exhaust up top (would be the only way to make this work right in my book). which leads to a pocket of hot air up in the top of the case.

id like to test one of those out maybe ill see if i could get a hold of one to do a review on

the heat is rising...yet the cpu is at the bottom of the case...whats the problem? i think the idea is great. the only that that would have a chance of being affected is the video card sort of ending up at the middle top part of the case. of couse wtih that case it wouldn't be any more difficult to install a top blowhole then normal cases...but now you can put it directly over the cpu, video card area, since theres no psu to block it.

also i think many times people "over engineer" these situations. i suspended a thermal probe in different parts of my palamino computer one time...the differece between the top of the and the bottom was less then 4 degrees.
