I am looking for a new PSU for my 64 rig that I am working on right now. Anyone know a good one to buy (TT, Antec, etc.). I was looking at the TT Silent Purepower 560W for 120 bucks at SVC. Anyone know if this is any good. One question I do have about it is, do I have to use those fan controllers for it or can I just not use them and let it run at full speed all the time? All I want is the PS and not all the extra stuff that comes with it. I also plan on sleeving the whole thing red along with a red uv changeover kit. Think this one is worth it or should I go for something else?

My rig will be:
A64 3400+/Undecided on Mobo right now
Mushkin Lvl II Black 1gig
9800 Pro / May a x800 if the price comes down some
5 80mm case fans + 1 120mm Blowhole
2 Vantec nexus fan ctrl's (3.5)
1 Nexus NXP 101 Fan and temp moniter
SB Audigy 2 ZS Plat (Internal Drive)
92mm Tornado for HS fan
1 DVD RW
4 ccfl's (2uv+2red)
Red EL Wire
2 Raptors
And some other stuff I can't think of right now.

I have a TT silent purepower 480, it's great power wise but I wish I'd done a bit more research before I bought it. It is very quiet on low speed but high speed sounds like a 747 winding up!

If you want the best - PC power and cooling 510 - This PS is sweet. It comes pre-sleeved, it's extremely stable and I think that they now have it in a fanless model!!

Midrange I would go for an antec truepower or a vantec stealth.

If you do want a TT PS, I got my 480 from bluecano on ebay last year for $78CAD, I think now she has them, (and 560W) for 50 - 90US. Might be worthwhile to check out!

I just got an Enermax Noisetaker 475 for my new project. It is actually very quiet, unlike the "whisper" series Enermax PSU's. It is the most highly recommended PSU on SilentPCReview.com (review).

[edit: I also have an Antec True 480--it's done well too and was more affordable]

I think I like the enermax more than the TT. I hate the color because I'm going with an all red/red uv theme. Oh well thats what paint and sandpaper are for. Thx for the advice.
