i have VertiGlow™ - Modular Dragon Edition 500watt PSU, would the PSU give a problem with the monitor not turning on.

no not unless you plug your monitor into your psu

i just finshed building my new computer and for some reason everything turns on but the monitor doesn't go on, i though it would be the MB, so i sent it back, and got the new one today and the same peoblem is happening

Try your video card on another system, if the video card works then try your monitor with another system, if the monitor works then i don't know what's happening .
