Full Version: Psu "hissing"

Well the title says it all, its hissing. Idk what it could be from, i replaced the fan in there a LONG time ago and it didnt make the sound, when i was testing my new MB i noticed it makes that noise, but all the fans and stuff in my case drown it out and it still works...so ill keep using it unless it could explode something

It might come from a capacitor or one of the components like when you hear noises from a fan controller either way = not good, PSU's dont usually hiss sad.gif

you may also want to check the coloration and shape of your transformers. If it has anything to do with those or caps, check your current pull; not to mention your extremely lucky it hasn't blown yet if that's the case.

....How do i check my current pull? Ill just get a new one this weekend.
